Read MoreIt doesn’t matter that the West Seattle bridge is down, adding half an hour of driving time to anywhere in ‘mainland’ Seattle, because we are facing the other way and our transportation from West Seattle is the trusty Fauntleroy Ferry which whisks us over to Harper in just half an hour - when it’s on time and when it’s not stopping at Vashon Island along the way.

Read MoreSome would say this is Seattle’s only beach. I’m not sure about that, but it’s certainly the only beach that you can see Seattle from! It definitely has that Venice Beach ‘vibe’ and it’s definitely the place to cruise up and down with your car windows open and music blasting out.

But I think there is a lot of anger and energy in addition to BLM: anger at the polarization, anger our inept response to Covid-19, and anger at the continuing separation of wealth.
