Day 115 - Alpine Lakes
We joined the crowds at Alpine Lakes Wilderness and headed up the trail. It didn’t help that we didn’t get started until 2:300pm but it was a glorious six hours and we almost made it to the second lake. Next time!
Going up this late in the July 4th weekend, we came across a large number of heavily-laden backpackers on their way down the trail. Most of them were not wearing masks. Lower down on the flatter part before Trout Lake we had come across a number of families and they were almost all wearing masks.
