Day 72 - Across the Inland Empire
Not sure which picture to post - the In-N-Out Burger drive-in that we stopped at in Palm Springs, or the view of the Colorado River basin from the top of Iron Springs Pass. So here they both are. It was nearly four hours from Santa Barbara straight East across greater LA and the Inland Empire before we left sea level and climbed through the high desert across Prescott, Jerome, and the Verde Valley to Sedona. Nine hours in total. A long day. The freeway was packed full of cars. The next day in Sedona when we went for an early morning walk, it seemed they had all followed us there.
