Day 12 - Sniffles and Sore Throat

Ok now I’ve got the cold. Decided it might be a good idea to go out and get a thermometer, and some Nyquil. Went to five stores, including two groceries and three pharmacies. Nothing. Oh wait, I found Nyquil at the Rite Aid. Thanks!

Pretty much everyone is off the streets. Got a take-out coffee from Olympia and they informed us that tomorrow would be their last day of operation, for at least two weeks. Pay by card, don’t touch the terminal. Automatic 15% tip. Blue tape on the carpet showing us where to stand.

We went for our daily walk and stayed away from others on the sidewalk. We were careful to smile and say hello. About half the people responded with a smile or a ‘hi!’ but the other half ignored us. People seem tense.
