Day 138 - Walking Mom

Fran’s mom, Rossie, is 84. She and her husband Jack live in a retirement home situated conveniently between us and the ferry, just a mile or so from us. Their world has grown smaller with Covid as all social programs have been put on hold and all residents are not allowed to leave the premises. And all meals are delivered to their rooms. It’s kind of like being stuck on one of those Covid cruise ships. Except that we can stop by for a walk in the garden. And except that Rossie and Jack are constantly sneaking out. Just the other day I caught Jack red-handed at the neighborhood grocery, purchasing a newspaper.
