Day 23 - The "Flex Room"
We spend a fair amount of our day in this room - but only an hour each day watching something on the screen. This tiny room has become a haven where we come to read, or to sit cross-legged and work - ok, on computers or iPads but we are proofing a client’s book that is soon to be published. Also, this room is directly connected to the kitchen so it’s a favorite place to plop down at the end of the day with a glass of wine (usually from the Columbia Valley) and our metered allotment of Marcona almonds supposedly from Spain but probably from California. It’s also where we start the day with a comfy cup of English breakfast tea (PG Tips) while reading the morning newspaper I have whittled down to a single origin, just like the coffee that comes mid-morning. In this case, I’ve thrown out Fox and CNN and any other data-driven aggregators to focus pretty much on the New York Times which tends to give more in-depth and thought-provoking coverage of topics I am interested in.
